I received the email about this about a week ago and was immediately interested. I haven't done any theatrical makeup yet but it is definitely intriguing to me. During the Fall season when I was planning and preparing for all of my Halloween looks this set would have been an awesome addition! The email sent stated that the set includes 11 brushes used on Hollywood's hottest movie sets such as Teen Wolf. Pretty cool! 

I have yet to try any Sigma brushes but everyone always raves about them, especially YouTube beauty gurus. This might be a good way to test them out.

This palette is going a little beyond my usual comfort zone. I was really drawn to the yellow in this quad. It's yellow but not over the top because it has a little mustard in it to tone it down. Looking at the color, I pictured a cat eye with that yellow blended into the crease and then a nude lip. It screams Spring 2015 to me. Mix a bright with a nude/neutral and you are so on trend this season. 

I really can't wait to play with this and come up with looks for you guys to try out. This is my first Dolce quad and I have to say I am impressed. Besides the ultra luxe gold packaging, the texture of these matte shadows is so creamy. You can lightly touch the shadow and have full color impact. Color Explosion is not joking around with its name! 

The pale ivory is basically my skin tone so it doesn't photograph well here. It has more of a satin finish than pure matte which helps. I don't think this shade is a negative as it will make a perfect brow bone highlight to coordinate with the brighter shades.

Oops, I did it again. I went and bought another eyeshadow palette. After all the makeup shopping I've been doing lately I think I might make March a no beauty buy month... We shall see...

Anyway, back to this stunner. Nars' Dual Intensity eyeshadows are a great product. I love the selection of colors and the versatility when used wet. They have now released a limited edition palette of eight of the twelve shades in their permanent collection. I was trying to hold off on buying the singles so I am so glad they came out with this "sampler". It includes all the colors I was thinking of purchasing plus a few I hadn't thought of trying. 

The singles retail for $29 a piece and this palette retails for $79. It does seem steep and it did hurt me a little bit but I feel like it is a bargain for the all the colors included. You could buy eight full size (.05) for $232 or receive eight (.03) and a dual intensity brush for $79. So I would say if you have been eyeing these since their release it is a great buy! Plus it also makes a fabulous travel companion! 

The colors included are, Europa (gossamer pink peach), Himalia (shimmering topaz), Ursa Major (chocolate glaze), Subra (black orchid), Sycorax (black), Giove (navy), Lysithea (shark gray), and Andromeda (alabaster).

It's happened, Mac as announced the release dates for their upcoming Cinderella collection! I cannot wait and the fact that it is being released online the day before my birthday makes it even more special! What can I say, it's the Disney princess and makeup addict in me. 

So far I definitely need the eyeshadow palette and the highlighter. I thought the packaging would be a little more than it is but the color is still perfect.

I haven't purchased any Dior eyeshadows before because none of them really stood out to me as something I needed to have. But their 2014 Holiday collection was a different story. 

Golden Reflections is a neutral palette on fairy dust. It screams seduction and glamour. The five colors all blend beautifully and I love that you can go all out glam or create a subtle work look in a matter of minutes. My favorite shade in this palette is the tarnished metallic gold. 

This was part of the limited edition holiday collection but it is still available here at Macy's.

I'm not familiar with Julia Petit but I have to say I am loving the look of just this promo from Mac's collaboration with her. The colors are gorgeous and feel fresh and alive just like a Spring collection should. I'm looking forward to seeing more. This palette was one I had my eyes on for a while. I've never purchased any of the Vice palettes before and usually ended up regretting it but not enough to pay $200 on ebay for one. So this year after seeing the eyeshadow "Sonic" (a gorgeous cranberry copper color) I knew I really wanted this for my collection. After still not being able to decide for probably a month, I finally just caved. Let me say, I'm happy I did. Granted there are some shadows in this collection I probably won't use (the bright pinks) but I felt that there were more that I would use rather than not. 

I like the range of colors and the fact that there are a variety of finishes included here. You have a few really nice highlighting shades (Last Sin - which is my favorite, Bobby Dazzle, & Truth) and a couple darker colors (Revolver & Defy) too that could also work great as liners. I love when palettes have you covered like that. It makes it a top contender for traveling. This palette also offered me new shades to try out, like Dragon an iridescent kelly green which I would probably never have bought on its own.

Overall it is a great well rounded set and I do not regret the purchase one bit. You can find it here at Sephora for $60 but it is also available at Ulta, Macy's, and Urban Decay's website as well as other fine retailers.

Coming January 1st 2015 to all salons (including Ulta), OPI is releasing a Fifty Shades of Grey nail polish collection. It includes what looks like six colors in silver, grey (duh), and a gorgeous crimson. I can't wait to get my hands on Christian Grey these nail polishes. I love grey to begin with and add in names like "My Silk Tie" and "Cement the Deal" I'm all in. ;)

The time has come for all the 50 Shades movie inspired beauty collections to be released. The first up is by Make Up For Ever. I love the look of this collection and find myself drawn to the two lip sets and the above eye and lip set. Prices range from $32 for either of the two lip sets to $79 for the set above. The prices are actually really good deals considering just the cost of one of the aqua rouges included is $24 itself.
