My friend Kendall and I try and make it to the NYC IMATS every year. This year tickets sold out before we could purchase them so we decided to have our own makeup day in the city! This trip included a lot of firsts for me... my first trip to Saks on Fifth Avenue, my first trip to Macy's at Herald Square (at least that I can remember), and then my first time getting my makeup done at a high end makeup counter!

These department stores were so cool inside! It was a makeup lovers heaven. Saks even had an orchestra and opera singer live while you shopped, what!? We ended up getting our makeup done at the Burberry counter and it was awesome! I truly felt pampered. Below are some of the pictures from the day and my haul of products, including the street art I bought for my hubby!

This week I found myself reaching for my Chanel Bronze de Soleil pretty much every day to give me an effortless glow in just a couple minutes.

I love how seamlessly it blends into my skin. I was a little nervous when I first used it because I had never used a cream bronzer before. Well I had nothing to be nervous about. It is basically foolproof, just blend. It's really the perfect color for my NW20/NC15 complexion which makes it that much more fabulous.

The quality doesn't surprise me because the product comes from Coco Chanel, who first made being tan popular in the 1920's. Thank you Miss Chanel.

I couldn't wait until Monday (Mani Monday) to show you guys the uber glamorous Christian Louboutin Nail Rouge. It is by far more than a nail polish, it is like a collectible. The packaging screams femme fatale and I literally gasped when I opened my Sephora box and saw the glossy box inside. It couldn't believe the size and just how gorgeously done the bottle was. They didn't spare any expense on this, and the price shows at $50 a bottle. I really can't wait to see the other colors, like that taupe grey I had my eye on a few posts back.

The polish is thick but not too thick where you can't spread it evenly and smoothly. One coat is really all you need for an opaque, true to color, glossy manicure.

This polish may not be for everyone, but it definitely needed to be in my shoe lover, makeup addicted hands.
