Limecrime Cashmere & LASplash Ghoulish Comparison Swatches

After all the drama surrounding Limecrime, I know a lot of people out there are searching for dupes for their coveted greige Velvetine in Cashmere. I had heard about LASplash's Ghoulish being similar but I wanted to see for myself before I started telling people about it. I have to say, they are a perfect match color wise! The colors shift slightly depending on the lighting but overall they are a match.

The formulas are a little different. Ghoulish has a thicker consistency and has much better staying power where Cashmere is thinner and does wear off with eating and drinking. The price is also a lot better, LASplash = $11.98 and Limecrime = $20.

I threw in two other LASplash shades for comparison, Innocent Vixen which leans more nude/beige and then Charmed which has a slightly more pink undertone.

Comparison Swatches - LimeCrime Cashmere & Apocalipslick Coven Cream

I recently received a request to do a comparison of Lunatick Cosmetic Labs' Coven Cream liquid lipstick and LimeCrime's Cashmere Velvetine. I thought it would make a great post so here it is!

They are both in the "greige" family that is super trendy right now. As you can see in the swatches below (Coven Cream is on the left and Cashmere on the right) Coven leans cool grey with a slight violet undertone and Cashmere is more of a warm greyed out beige pink. For reference I have a neutral undertone to my skin and range from NC15 to NW20 in foundation.

Texture and formula wise, Coven has a creamier consistency where Cashmere is definitely thinner. Both dry to a matte finish and both last throughout the day with minimal touch ups.

Lime Crime Velvetine - Cashmere

I've been waiting impatiently for this little box to arrive and it finally did today! Lime Crime's new Velvetine in Cashmere is everything I'd hoped for and more in a long wearing, matte, lip product. The greige color is perfectly neutral but with the addition of something different other than the usual nude. I will definitely be making this a staple in my vanity drawer.

My lighting wasn't the best to bring out the grey tones but it does show more grey than in these photos. I would say it's a softer shade of Mac's Stone lip pencil, maybe even some slight mauve added in as well. Definitely worth checking out Stone if you like the look of this lip color.
