SO PRETTY!

I am so in love with this palette it's rediculous! The first Sigma palette I've ever bought and I can definitely say it won't be my last. With my eyes on it for months, I finally caved.

If you are a fellow blue eyed beauty, this palette will be gold to you! The warm taupes, browns, and pinks are the perfect colors to bring out your eyes. This palette has the perfect combination of lights, medium, and darks. There are blending shades and highlighting shades. It really is perfect. At $39 you really can't go wrong.

This gem is the perfect transitional palette from Summer to Fall. You have some copper with rose gold tones and then you have a black to smoke it up plus a gorgeous glimmering silver blue. The combination is eccentric and stunning. These are not colors I would think to put together in one palette but they all work so beautifully together. If you have blue eyes, you need this in your life! Every shadow is super pigmented and this makes me so happy since Mac's limited edition collections have been iffy in the palette department recently. Well this one lives up to the Mac name! The only thing I can say works against this is you will need a separate highlight shade because this palette does not have one included. Other than that, great job Mac!

It is almost August and now is when the Fall collections start coming out of the woods. I love when the season change. It's a refreshing and renewing time and new makeup is always a great thing! This week I have my eyes on a few really great things... check em out!

Bonjour! Too Faced has re-released their summer palette from last year (under a new name) and I am SO happy! This year it is called Bonjour Summer. I bought it in the Pardon My French Set at Sephora. It comes with a full size black eyeliner, a sample of their Shadow Insurance, a little travel bag, and a deluxe sample of their Lash Injection Mascara which I have yet to test out. I had missed this palette last year and really regretted not purchasing it so I am thrilled that they pretty much kept it the same so I could get my hands on it.

This baby has a great mix of browns, creams, and brights. It's the perfect spring into summer transition palette. Of course the pigmentation and quality is what you expect from Too Faced, amazing. The price is their standard $36.00 for just the palette. If you order the set like I did it costs $49.00.



The Shades:
Seashell - matte pastel coral (nice blending shade to add a glow/lit from within effect)
Plumeria - shimmering (slightly leaning on duo chrome) medium blue pink
Cocoa Beach - rich brown with hints of burgundy and some sparkle
Sand Dollar - matte tropical white sand
Firefly - shimmery copper
Chocolate Sun - deep chocolate brown with gold sparkle
Sunbeam - Sparkling sheer yellow (would work nicely as an overlay over your whole look to add some sparkle or a highlight on your cheek bones)
Mermaid - medium teal blue green shimmer
Toasted Coconut - medium warm brown (a nice transition shade for blending in those darker browns)

The brand Too Faced is starting to phase out their old packaging some a slimmer, more travel friendly version. It is an aluminum container and I think it is the perfect size complete with a magnetic closure. They have been releasing all of their new palettes in this form but now they are starting to re-release original versions which is so exciting! I have been talking myself out of some of their original palettes because of the packaging.

So here is their first re-release, the Natural Eye Neutral Palette.




This palette is so great for creating day to night looks and I have been especially loving it this week for a daytime smokey eye. The colors are so rich and buttery soft like you would expect from Too Faced.

Cashmere Bunny - matte milk chocolate with an extra dash of milk
Sexpresso - matte dark chocolate
Silk Teddy - golden shimmery pink

Getting naked has never had so many options until Urban Decay released their highly popular Naked palette back in 2010. It's now four years later and we still love being naked!

Urban Decay followed the release of the Naked palette with Naked 2, a foundation, powder, BB cream, luminizer, blush palette, Naked Basics (amazing!), eyeliners to go with each palette, and now the Naked 3 palette with all of it's rosy "cheek" glory. ;)

For those of you who haven't heard of these or you have but haven't had the chance to look into them, this is for you!

Each palette has its share of shimmers but also a few mattes (great for blending) and have at least one pale highlighting shade and a deep shade for lining and/or adding depth.
Naked - The original. This palette is more bronzed than the others but it does include a highly pigmented steel shade. I find it to be more warm toned overall. A lovely collection of shades to go from day at the office to night on the town and from smokey to sweet.

Naked2 - The cooler cutie. This lady has the same effects as the original but in a cooler section of town. She can go smokey or subtle but with shades more on the pewter side than bronze. But don't get me wrong she does still have some warmer shades like Half Baked (which is also included in Naked).

Naked3 - Rosy and seductive, Naked3 has a gorgeous range of pink neutrals. This is absolutely stunning on blue eyed beauties! The colors range from a matte ivory to a shimmering blackened plum.

Naked Basics - One of the best basic palettes I've ever come across. Retailing at $27.00 this is a real steal. I go no where without my basics palette. A collection of mattes ranging from a buttery ivory to a deeply pigmented blackish brown this palette is the epitome of classic.

They are expensive, retailing at about $50 a piece so if you are questioning whether or not you "need" all of these I would definitely go to Sephora or Ulta and do some swatching. See what fits your skintone best and which palette you think would be the most useful or different from what you already own. I find I use each of these just as much as the other. They are great for travel because you have a variety of shades and looks at your fingertips (or brush tips). They even all come with a brush as well (except for the basics).

I have purchased two Nars duos within the past month and they are making their way into my everyday makeup routine. Both are really nice tie ins to some of my palettes that are missing that one shade I wish it had. Well these two duos are really working out fantastically for that. They retail at $34.00 each and are part of the permanent line.

As I had said in my previous post, now is the time when companies we all know and love release some great palettes for the holiday season. The brand Too Faced (which if you don't know them, definitely check them out because they are fab!) had released the Pretty Rebel palette probably a few months ago but it is limited edition so it would make a great gift or addition to your collection!


The shades are as follows:

Dainty - matte ivory (a perfect addition to this palette to breakup all of the shimmer with a matte browbone highlight)
Ringleader - pinky peach shimmer (could be used as a pretty highlighter for the face as well!)
Charming - matte chocolate brown
Gangsta - pure bronze metallic
Girly - medium red/green/brown duo chrome (similar to Mac's Club shadow)
Instigator - gold metallic
Totally Fetch - medium fuchsia pink shimmer
Baddass - medium greyed navy with silver sparkle

Jailbird - silver metallic with a very subtle hint of blue

Now is the time of year where all the top beauty brands start releasing great gift sets. It's such an exciting time because you can grab so many great deals on your favorites and even some new goodies too!

Smashbox has recently released the Full Exposure palette for fall/winter 2013 and it is gorgeous! It is a great palette for the beginner as well as the expert. The palette retails at $49.00. You get 14 eyeshadows - 7 matte and 7 shimmer. The set also includes a deluxe sample of their Full Exposure Mascara as well as a dual ended eyeshadow brush.




Having both matte and shimmery shades, it is all you need for various natural to glam looks this season and beyond. It is so versatile! I love the combination of tones (both cool and warm) and having the matte textures included is great for blending those shimmery shades into a beautiful night sky gradient. These shadows are so highly pigmented!

Loving a smokey eye and neutrals, this is an exciting addition to my collection. It can give a brown or black smoke to your eyes and you can easily take that from day to night in just a few swipes of your brush. The darker colors would also make great eyeliners. All you need to do is
wet your eyeliner brush and you are good to go!

I would definitely say this is competition for Urban Decay's Naked and Naked2 palettes. Smashbox always has such great quality as well as Urban Decay but I just feel that this palette is much more classic with the even split of textures.
