3 Months of Favorites!

6:00:00 AM

Happy August! It's been too long! I've been busy building my photography and makeup business along with other life adventures but today I am back and ready to throw my favorites at you from the previous months! Get ready, it's a long one!

Kylie Lip Kit - CandyK - This is by far my favorite liquid lipstick formula. It dries ultra velvety, no transfer, and lasts! CandyK has been my go to neutral shade lately. It's the perfect "my lips but better" shade for me. The kit comes with a liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner that also rocks. Kylie also just released these individually so you can purchase the lip liner or liquid lipstick for refills. I purchased a backup liner because I love it so much I only have half left!

Amazing Cosmetics Illuminating Concealer - WHOA. This stuff is amazing. It has fine "shimmer" particles in it to super brighten the under eye area. I find it really awakens my face. I purchased the lightest shade. It's not super sparkly, but the fine micro-shimmers reflect light like I've never seen in a concealer before. Really, "amazing".

Urban Decay Color Correcting Fluid in Pink - I love this for brightening as well. It's a perfect match for my fair skin to brighten up the under eye area and it does not crease. You only need a small amount to make an impact. Urban Decay released this shade along with I believe 4 others for correcting. I plan on picking up the lavender shade next! I can see myself gathering all the colors for my makeup kit to use on clients. It's that good.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara - I love this for a quick swipe when I'm in a rush. It lengthens and creates crazy volume. Keep a lookout for a post just on this product and its back story to be showing up on my blog!

Physicians Formula Lash Booster Mascara - This has been in my favorites for quit some time now but I have to say it is my holy grail of mascaras. I love the formula (both the doll and regular versions). This mascara gives my lashes the ultimate boost. It's like a push up bra for your eyes. I can't live without this stuff and the best part? It's from the drugstore! No irritation, no allergic reaction, no loss of lashes, no flaking. This is IT. Check CVS for B1G1 deals on this brand!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Black - I have used my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner for at least 3 years (the same tube too!) and it has finally finished its life. I had received this liner in a sampler kit and was looking forward to seeing what all the hype was about. I really love the brush. It gives the same look as the felt tip ones but without the "shedding or shredding" at the tip. It stays all day and it's super black.

Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation - Josie Maran rocked my world with this new foundation. The finish is dewy but not oily looking. It's not glittery either. It brightens up my skin and brings life to it. I love that argan oil is in the formulation for hydration and the skincare aspect. It's thick so you only need one pump. I would definitely repurchase this magic in a bottle.

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Protect + Perfect SPF 47 - This has been my go-to for quick mornings when I need SPF plus some perfecting for work. I love the moisturizing texture and the glowy satin finish. I apply about 2 pumps and bring it down to my chest and I'm ready for the day. This plus mascara and I'm set. My skin even looks better from using it!

Younique Beachfront Self Tanning Body Lotion - Younique has expanded their permanent Beachfront line with a bunch of self tanning products this year. I was super excited to try this out because I'm always on the lookout to get a little glow from time to time, especially in the Spring and Summer. This lotion worked great when I was getting ready to go to Florida in may. I only had to apply one or two times to get a warm golden glow. I've even used it on my face with no breakout issues.

LCK Marilyn Shampoo & Conditioner - Since adding platinum to my hair I've been looking for a hard working purple shampoo that is safe for my keratin treated hair. After perusing Instagram I found this duo and instantly fell in love with first wash. It takes the yellow out like nothing I have ever used and my hair felt soft and shiny. Definitely a keeper. I just wish I could purchase it in store instead of having to order it online. But another plus is that I've had this duo for about six months and I still have half left.

Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor  - I used to use this in college to help my severely over-dyed locks. I decided to pick it up again after all the bleaching and give it a shot. I love the smell and I do think it helps replenish moisture and without tarnishing my platinum hair.

Devinah Cosmetics Susperia Highlighter - Feeling adventurous and want to try something fresh and fun? This highlighter is it! I love the way it glides on and leaves a rainbow glow on your face. So fun!

Lancome Absolue Powder in Peche & Golden - A long time ago there was a powder from Loreal that had the perfect amount of sparkle and then they sadly discontinued it. *sad face* I love Bare Minerals Original Powder foundation but I came across these powders from Lancome and I love them too! They add a little something extra without feeling like full on foundation. I like to set my entire face with these. Golden is pink and a little darker and Peche is yellow and lighter.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette - This is the new permanent palette from Anastasia and they did a superb job! The warm shades are speaking to my blue eyes like no other palette right now. I'm a sucker for red shadows and this fits the bill.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Ashton - This shade is so pretty. It's a neutral, reddish brown and I love it for everyday. It compliments the Modern Renaissance palette nicely. It has been another go-to this past month.

Jamberry Nail Stickers - These nail stickers have been so fun and long lasting! As long as I don't get anything oily on my hands, they have lasted up to 3 weeks. I've been obsessed.

Buxom Suede Palette - This is a fantastic completely matte neutral palette. The shades are perfect transition, highlight and liner shades to use along side a bright palette. They look great by themselves or with pops of color. A really nice addition to my collection.

Niod Photography Fluid Tan or Original - Damn this stuff is good. My favorite primer lately especially for when I know I'll be taking photos. It has specific light diffusing pigments that help the skin look more airbrushed in person and on camera.

Revlon Blending Duo Fiber Brush - I found this brush at Walmart. Revlon released a couple new brushes that have more of a higher end shape to them. I love the design and I had been looking for a good all over blending brush and this is it!

Cream Eyeshadows - Cream shadows have made a comeback in my summer makeup routine this year. I love them for their versatility and ease of use, plus they have a great long lasting power if you find a good brand. I have been using Younique and Maybelline.

Young Living Animal Scents Ointment - This is a strange one but it works so I'm going with it. This essential oil ointment has done wonders for my skin. My eczema has been in check for the most part. I just need to remember to apply this before bed and I'm good to go. You get this huge tub of product too for about $30. I even have a backup because this is definitely a staple! If you have eczema, try this out! If you are interested in an eczema skincare post let me know.

Palmer's Bust Cream - Treat your girls with some respect. They need moisture and care too! I apply this cream before bed and I feel like my skin in that area has felt a lot smoother and even a little firmer. It smells like cocoa butter too so that is a plus!
