Blogmas 2017 - Day 1

7:00:00 AM

It's my favorite time of year again and I wanted to do something different and special for my followers. I plan on doing some how-to's, holiday makeup looks, and a bunch of other posts this month to celebrate the year (maybe a surprise giveaway?)! Happy Blogmas and lets get started!

The holiday season is a time of joy but also a time for celebrating and late night shopping whether you are in your pajamas or in your car racing to the next store, you're stuck with those "You look so tired!" comments the following day. Let's not forget the family photos you will look back on and see reflections of shopping bags dancing under those pretty eyes. The following are my favorite products to help with eye tiredness and to brighten those peepers!

Blogmas day one - Operation Bright Eyes!

belif moisturizing eye bomb - I received this from Influenster free for a review and I am SO glad I did! It is a glorious moisturizer for my eye area. A little amount goes a long way so this container will last forever. I even like layering it over my other eye creams or oils. It's amazing. If you are in a dry climate or just suffering from the winter air, I highly recommend this gem.

Glossier Moonstone Haloscope - Want that quick and easy glossy eye? Look no further than this highlight stick from Glossier. I love this for quick mornings when I want a natural and moisturized glowy look. Fresh faced at its finest. Tip: apply in a "C" shape around the eye socket to add a lifting glow to the whole eye area!

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Inner Rim Brightener - This baby will be your new best friend! All you do is apply this to your water line and it instantly brightens and opens up the eyes so they appear larger and more awake than they might be.

UD Naked Skin Color Corrector in Pink - They have this in multiple colors for correcting but lately I've been living for the pink shade. It conceals and brightens but doesn't cake up or feel heavy under my eyes. You only need a few small dots for the whole under eye area.

Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector - Similar to the product above in color, this corrector instantly brightens and opens the eye area. This product however also includes a thinner consistency and light reflecting particles. Another A+ in undereye brightening in my book.

Mac Fascinating Eye Kohl - This is a white eyeliner for the water line. It stays for a longer period of time than most in its field thanks to Mac's eye kohl formula and the white is super bright!

stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, Diamond Dust - Stila's liquid shadows have been a favorite since this Summer. I love them for all over the lid, lower lash line, etc. I also really love them for brightening the eyes by applying a small amount to the inner corners. The glitter reflects light to that darker corner beautifully. Diamond Dust is a silver shade but they also have a gold that is just as stunning.

Mac Cream Color Base in Hush - Another beautiful undereye highlighting product, this is a beautiful multipurpose formula. I like to apply it to the entire eye area, set with a translucent power for a longer staying period. Let the peachy sheen work its magic.

Rodan + Fields Lashboost - Long lashes are the best way to look more awake in my opinion. I have been using this lash boost for about 6 months now and I couldn't be more obsessed. My lashes are long and they are strong!

Colourpop Super Shock Highlighters - I have Flexitarian and Honeymoon that I love to use on my inner corners for sparkle and eye popping brightness. They are super affordable at $8 each (look out for sales!) and work like a charm. Flexitarian is a white champagne and Honeymoon is an icy blue shimmer. The texture is weightless and velvety.

Lua Skincare Eye Beam Oil - Essential oils are definitely a fan fave for me. I love the natural and hardworking properties. Lua skincare uses those to their advantage. With beautifully packaged ingredients like these who needs anything else? I had the pleasure of talking to the owner and artist (she paints and the packaging reflects her artwork) at the Indie Beauty Expo this year. Her daughter and her had the most amazing skin I've seen. Glowing like the sun. That alone made me purchase this and her Age Less face oil concoction. Both are out of this world!

Melt Cosmetics Stargazer Digital Dust - Another fantastic highlighter that is great for the inner corner of the eye to open it up and appear awake and brightened. I love to put this over my entire face for a glow that is so beaming and "I just went to the tropics" that it can't be beat. Literally looks wet when applied. I've been blown away by this formula!

Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream - I just purchased this ahead of schedule on Sephora when it was available for Rouge members. So far I've been using it for a week and I'm pretty happy with the results. I like to sandwich this in the middle of my snail serum or Lua Eye Beam and my belif eye bomb. My eyes feel soft and cared for. I'm hoping this works well for a preventative measure for aging eyes. I'll keep you posted!
