It's Mani Monday again, wow the weeks are flying by. This week I wanted something brighter and happy so I chose FormulaX Unmistakable, a robins egg blue. I also decided to try Sally Hansen's new Miracle Gel Top Coat and so far so good!

Bonjour! Too Faced has re-released their summer palette from last year (under a new name) and I am SO happy! This year it is called Bonjour Summer. I bought it in the Pardon My French Set at Sephora. It comes with a full size black eyeliner, a sample of their Shadow Insurance, a little travel bag, and a deluxe sample of their Lash Injection Mascara which I have yet to test out. I had missed this palette last year and really regretted not purchasing it so I am thrilled that they pretty much kept it the same so I could get my hands on it.
This baby has a great mix of browns, creams, and brights. It's the perfect spring into summer transition palette. Of course the pigmentation and quality is what you expect from Too Faced, amazing. The price is their standard $36.00 for just the palette. If you order the set like I did it costs $49.00.
The Shades:
Seashell - matte pastel coral (nice blending shade to add a glow/lit from within effect)
Plumeria - shimmering (slightly leaning on duo chrome) medium blue pink
Cocoa Beach - rich brown with hints of burgundy and some sparkle
Sand Dollar - matte tropical white sand
Firefly - shimmery copper
Chocolate Sun - deep chocolate brown with gold sparkle
Sunbeam - Sparkling sheer yellow (would work nicely as an overlay over your whole look to add some sparkle or a highlight on your cheek bones)
Mermaid - medium teal blue green shimmer
Toasted Coconut - medium warm brown (a nice transition shade for blending in those darker browns)

I have purchased two Nars duos within the past month and they are making their way into my everyday makeup routine. Both are really nice tie ins to some of my palettes that are missing that one shade I wish it had. Well these two duos are really working out fantastically for that. They retail at $34.00 each and are part of the permanent line.
The first one is called Dogon. This shade was the reason I wanted this duo in the first place. It is such a gorgeous duo chrome shade! My love for shades like this all started with Mac's Club... sigh.

Portobello is a great neutral matte palette that has two warm shades. I've been wearing just the two shades with some eyeliner and it has been a great fast work look. I feel they really look natural but also add plenty of dimension to my eyes as well. This is sure to be a staple in my collection from now on.

Mac Cosmetics has released three sets of pigment for the holiday season. I have gotten the green and teal set. It looked like something that was different from anything in my collection already pigment wise. They retail at $32.50 on Mac's website. There is also the Black & Gold set (which I am eyeing) and the Silver & Violet set. I believe the Green & Teal set is sold out but I am almost positive you can grab this one off ebay.
For those of who don't know about pigments, they are really fun. They are loose shadows and mostly shimmery and glittery. You can do so many things with them, from a highlight on the cheeks, mixing with foundation for a glow, or mix with your lipstick for some added dimension. They also are one of those products that can work wonderful wet. Mac's Fix+ is a great product to use for that.

One of my favorite pigments from Mac is the shade Tan. It is a rose gold/bronze shade. You can mix this with foundation and it looks gorgeous! It is really great all year long but in the summer with a tan = golden goddess! For my fellow blue eyed lady's out there, it makes your eye color stand out so vividly.

Anyway, back to this holiday set....

You only need the smallest amount to get intense pigmentation.
