A self tanner that can be used on your face without leading to breakouts or splotchiness is a beautiful thing. I always love to test out new fake tanners to find one that will make my everyday routine quick, easy, and glowing. 

After seeing multiple good reviews for this Faux Tan Face product from bareminerals, I decided to try it out myself. Well after using it for probably six months I haven't seen anything that would make me want to repurchase this or even finish it to be honest. There was very little color change and I think to really make it show up I would have had to reapply throughout the day. Who has time for that? I want a product that I can apply in the morning and it will gradually give my face some color throughout the week. This did none of that. So this is a pass for me.

I'm not familiar with Julia Petit but I have to say I am loving the look of just this promo from Mac's collaboration with her. The colors are gorgeous and feel fresh and alive just like a Spring collection should. I'm looking forward to seeing more. After really loving bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation (here) I was so excited to see they were coming out with a liquid/serum foundation. First of all, the two mix beautifully for a flawless, never flat, airbrushed look. I completely recommend these two as a pair as well as solo. 

You all know I have dry, sensitive skin. I love a glowy, dewy foundation especially in the winter. BareMinerals Bareskin Foundation is perfect for a weightless, medium coverage (but buildable!) finish. I really love the tones in this shade too. They add a brightness to my face without the need for a highlighter. It glides onto my skin effortlessly. The texture is runny so it is easy to spread evenly in circular movements. I've been using my Real Techniques duo fiber foundation brush with it and have been happy with the results. BareMinerals does have a special brush you can purchase that goes with this foundation. I've been thinking of trying it. Find the brush here and the foundation here.

As for the foundation, it is supposed to be one of those "good for your skin" or "skin improving" formulas. I have noticed my skin feeling moisturized, clear, and maybe even a bit more even toned without any foundation on my face. These multitasking products are really amazing in that way. Knowing the foundation is also taking care of my skin while I'm wearing it makes me feel better about it. 

For $29 it is definitely worth a shot if you love their Original Powder Foundation or if you are looking for a new everyday liquid formula!

This palette was one I had my eyes on for a while. I've never purchased any of the Vice palettes before and usually ended up regretting it but not enough to pay $200 on ebay for one. So this year after seeing the eyeshadow "Sonic" (a gorgeous cranberry copper color) I knew I really wanted this for my collection. After still not being able to decide for probably a month, I finally just caved. Let me say, I'm happy I did. Granted there are some shadows in this collection I probably won't use (the bright pinks) but I felt that there were more that I would use rather than not. 

I like the range of colors and the fact that there are a variety of finishes included here. You have a few really nice highlighting shades (Last Sin - which is my favorite, Bobby Dazzle, & Truth) and a couple darker colors (Revolver & Defy) too that could also work great as liners. I love when palettes have you covered like that. It makes it a top contender for traveling. This palette also offered me new shades to try out, like Dragon an iridescent kelly green which I would probably never have bought on its own.

Overall it is a great well rounded set and I do not regret the purchase one bit. You can find it here at Sephora for $60 but it is also available at Ulta, Macy's, and Urban Decay's website as well as other fine retailers.

Coming January 1st 2015 to all salons (including Ulta), OPI is releasing a Fifty Shades of Grey nail polish collection. It includes what looks like six colors in silver, grey (duh), and a gorgeous crimson. I can't wait to get my hands on Christian Grey these nail polishes. I love grey to begin with and add in names like "My Silk Tie" and "Cement the Deal" I'm all in. ;)

The time has come for all the 50 Shades movie inspired beauty collections to be released. The first up is by Make Up For Ever. I love the look of this collection and find myself drawn to the two lip sets and the above eye and lip set. Prices range from $32 for either of the two lip sets to $79 for the set above. The prices are actually really good deals considering just the cost of one of the aqua rouges included is $24 itself. Feeling festive as the holidays approach? Try anything crimson! Mac's new limited edition Red Red Red collection is just that, red! From lips to eyes they have you saturated in the seductive hue.

As if having the new Pantone Color of the Year be a rich burgundy brown wasn't enough, I am super excited to try these red themed eyeshadows from Mac. I've been really into the red/burgundy/rust eyeshadow trend lately and this just adds to my fire. How about you guys, will you be trying out this daring red look?

After trying different body lotions/moisturizers and not being completely happy I went to the internet in search of something to help heal, repair, and moisturizer my dry skin (plus eczema). After reading about a variety of options, I came across Amlactin. I had seen it in the drugstore but never considered purchasing. Well, boy was I missing out on an amazing lotion! My skin has never felt so soft and smooth. It helps keep my eczema at bay, no dry itchy skin, my skin tone even looks better, plus it helps with breakouts too! It's really an all around fabulous product. 

The one thing I would say I don't like is the "scent". It's technically not scented but it does have a "naturally" occurring odor that kind of smells like ammonia when first applied. It does go away and it hasn't stopped me from using it. I just apply at bedtime and by morning it's gone. It might be from the lactic acid (12%) that is in the product, I don't know. 

It is pricey at about $15 dollars a bottle but I really do think it's worth every penny.

Every year Pantone has a color of the year. Well for 2015 that color is Marsala, a rich burgundy red with hints of brown. I LOVE it! 

It's even more exciting because every year Sephora comes together with Pantone and releases a limited edition collection featuring the color of the year. See a preview of the look below! I can't wait!! After a few years of the colors being something I wouldn't wear, I can finally say I will be purchasing from this collection. What about you guys?

This was a look from over the weekend. I wanted something a little smoky but also something with those warm autumn tones included. I chose to use my Amrezy Palette (Legend, Caramel, Morocco, Deep Plum) from Anastasia of Beverly Hills. On my lips I used Mac's Lip Pencil in Whirl and of course I also used my Younique 3D Fiber Mascara (here)! 

This palette is sold out but Anastasia has released a range of single shadows which includes all the shades from this palette. So you are not out of luck! They all look exquisite. I can't wait to buy more to try out different colors.
