Iconic Nude / Pillow Talk

While strolling through Harmon's Discount last week I came across L'Oreal's Miss Manga Mascara which is part of the Voluminous line. I am not a Manga fan but you all know I am a mascara fan so of course I had to try it out. I've given it a good week of use and so far these are my thoughts....


Pros:
Lengthening - I love the length it gives my lashes, especially my bottom ones.
Soft - It does not dry hard on your lashes which I like. Your lashes will still have flexibility and won't feel brittle which is great for curling.
Layers - This formula layers nicely. It does get "spidery" but I like that long thick look.

Cons:
Too wet - I like my mascara a little bit more on the dry side. I feel that it adheres better and layers nicer too.
Bendable Wand - I find that this style wand makes it more difficult to layer because I don't have that force behind the brush. But I'm sure this is also a pro because you can bend it to get into the corners easier.
Long Tapered Wand - This can make application a little bit messy.


Retailing at about $9 I do think this is worth trying out depending on how you feel about wet mascara. The Pro's and Con's are even. I'm not sure I would repurchase but I am curious to see how this works as it dries out a bit more with use.

Monday's usually require something quick for me because I tend to have a hard time getting out of bed... as I'm sure many of you do.

Matte eyeshadows are very forgiving and easy to apply when they have a buttery soft texture. This palette was a purchase I made over the weekend. I had been eyeing it forever and finally decided to get it with a 20% Ulta coupon.

Too Faced Matte Eyeshadow Collection palette is beautiful and soft. You can make a dramatic smokey matte look or a totally soft wash of color. The shades are very versatile but also different than what I usually see in a matte palette. It retails at $36.00 and I do think it is well worth it, especially if you are just discovering all the great uses for a matte collection.

Tufted Suede - reminds me of a trench coat tan

I really love the brand Too Faced. I think they make great quality products that always call to me. They are reasonably priced to compared to the $50 Urban Decay palettes. Every time they have a new palette, bronzer, etc. I have to have it. I think I'm addicted.

The brand Too Faced is starting to phase out their old packaging some a slimmer, more travel friendly version. It is an aluminum container and I think it is the perfect size complete with a magnetic closure. They have been releasing all of their new palettes in this form but now they are starting to re-release original versions which is so exciting! I have been talking myself out of some of their original palettes because of the packaging.

So here is their first re-release, the Natural Eye Neutral Palette.




This palette is so great for creating day to night looks and I have been especially loving it this week for a daytime smokey eye. The colors are so rich and buttery soft like you would expect from Too Faced.

Heaven - matte ivory cream
Cashmere Bunny - matte milk chocolate with an extra dash of milk
Sexpresso - matte dark chocolate
Silk Teddy - golden shimmery pink
Push-up - medium rose gold shimmer
Erotica - cool toned deep brown with golden glitter specks

Lately I've been a little bit of a night owl and it is taking its tole on my eyes. I wake up in the morning and I just look so tired, especially around my eyes. I decided to look for something to help with that and this is what I found, Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller. It feels cool and refreshing when applied. I notice a difference in the brightness and puffiness even without it now after using it for 5 days. The tint is subtle but it does even everything out for me. I think it comes in two colors, light and medium/deep. I bought the light shade. It has a little bit of a golden yellow tint to it which helps cancel out the blueish purple under eye circles. I would think the medium/deep would have the same tint but darker to have the same effect.

I used to use the regular clear eye roller by Garnier and that worked great for puffiness so if you are looking for something without a tint check that one out! It is made for puffiness rather than dark circles. It also has that cool and refreshing feeling. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller
