I finally got my hands on the Kylie Jenner lip kits I had been eyeing! The shade Mary Jo is the color I am wearing in this MOTD. I love a classic red lip and this one is perfect. I really love the formula of Kylie's Lip Kits. They dry to a velvet finish and have superb lasting power. Each kit contains one liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner. They retail for $29 a piece which I think is a great deal. Great job Kylie!

For this look I used my current everyday staples, Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation, Estee Lauder Brow Now in black, Kevin Aucoin Tropic Nights bronzer, and Physicians Formula Lash Booster Mascara (the Doll Lash version). 

For the shadows I used Colourpop's Koosh Super Shock Eyeshadow. This makes an amazing inner corner highlight! Then I used a warm brown eyeshadow in the outer corner and crease to add a little drama.

Dita is an iconic glamazon. Ms. Von Teese is a burlesque dancer, famous for her martini routine and classic red lips she sports on a daily basis. I have been waiting for her beauty book to be released for years now! Finally we have a date and it can be preordered on Amazon! The hardcover beauty guide is supposed to include makeup tips, tricks, and secrets from this gorgeous beauty so you too can look like an old hollywood movie star on a daily basis. Doesn't that sound amazing!? Swoon....

Red lipstick is so classic and goes with every season. You can go with a deep bing cherry shade in the winter or sport a sizzling orange red shade in the summer. It can be intimidating but having a long wearing formula definitely makes me feel more comfortable while rocking this timeless trend. There is no worry of kiss marks or it traveling past your lip liner! 

I tried to give as much variety here in reds as I could in liquid lipstick form. These are all the reds, oranges, and corals I own in this formula at the moment. 

All of these dry to a matte finish. Some formulas have glitter such as Dutchess, the perfect ruby slipper red in a waterproof finish and Sephora's Coral Luster although I don't see it too much when swatched, only in the tube on this one. 

I included Limecrime's Riot for reference as an everyday red tinted beige. When next to the others it definitely looks brownish pink. I wouldn't necessarily consider it a red but I can see this color working well blended over a red lip liner. You could even mix this shade with others listed here to tone down the brightness. It's a good beginner's color when you are interested in getting into a red lip but apprehensive about making the full statement. Girlactik's Allure is also a great starter red. It's not vibrant but still has an impact.

The perfect last minute costume! 

I love this one because it's simple but still a powerful statement.

I've just been informed that Mac will be releasing a Rocky Horror Picture Show collection this October! So far the date I've seen for the online and in store release is October 2, 2014. If you are a fan of the movie which has been around for almost 40 years than this will be more than just a lipstick, blush, or eyeshadow, but also a collectors item. 

I myself, covet Frank's red lips! I think this collection will be fun and coming out in perfect time for Halloween.... Hmm... Do I sense a Magenta or Dr. Frank look in my near future? Absolutely if the collection is indeed the same as the picture below! I love the look of so many pieces, my wallet just might cry...
