Dita is an iconic glamazon. Ms. Von Teese is a burlesque dancer, famous for her martini routine and classic red lips she sports on a daily basis. I have been waiting for her beauty book to be released for years now! Finally we have a date and it can be preordered on Amazon! The hardcover beauty guide is supposed to include makeup tips, tricks, and secrets from this gorgeous beauty so you too can look like an old hollywood movie star on a daily basis. Doesn't that sound amazing!? Swoon....

If that wasn't enough for you Dita fans, Mac Cosmetics is also collaborating with her and below you will find a lipstick! I haven't heard anything about dates or if there is more than just lipstick. But I will be sure to update this post when I do. Thoughts??

I am super excited to share this release with you guys! Mac is releasing new (and repromoting some old) matte lipsticks! Colors include lipstick versions of their super popular lip liners in Stone and Whirl (OMG)! All shades will be permanent which is so nice to see considering Mac is huge on limited edition collections. It takes at least some of the stress off of buying the colors you want. 

The collection will be released online on May 28th and in stores June 11th for North America. They will be available to International customers in August.

I was super excited when Mac announced they would be doing a collaboration with Disney's new Cinderella movie this month. I always loved Cinderella and anything Disney so I definitely needed at least one piece of the collection. I chose the eye gloss and the eyeshadow palette. Here is the palette, in all it's magical glory. 

This collection of shadows is great for everyday. I love the combination of matte and shimmer textures and the overall cool vibe I get. All but one shade is part of Mac's permanent line so if you did miss out on this limited edition sold out palette you still have luck to add the colors to your collection! The shades are as follows, Vapour, Phloof!, Omega, Quarry, Satin Taupe, and Stroke of Midnight. 

The pigmentation was great and staying power was just as good as Mac's permanent products. They didn't feel stiff nor too powdery.

It's happened, Mac as announced the release dates for their upcoming Cinderella collection! I cannot wait and the fact that it is being released online the day before my birthday makes it even more special! What can I say, it's the Disney princess and makeup addict in me. 

So far I definitely need the eyeshadow palette and the highlighter. I thought the packaging would be a little more than it is but the color is still perfect.

I'm not familiar with Julia Petit but I have to say I am loving the look of just this promo from Mac's collaboration with her. The colors are gorgeous and feel fresh and alive just like a Spring collection should. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Feeling festive as the holidays approach? Try anything crimson! Mac's new limited edition Red Red Red collection is just that, red! From lips to eyes they have you saturated in the seductive hue.

As if having the new Pantone Color of the Year be a rich burgundy brown wasn't enough, I am super excited to try these red themed eyeshadows from Mac. I've been really into the red/burgundy/rust eyeshadow trend lately and this just adds to my fire. How about you guys, will you be trying out this daring red look?

Mac always has a great collection during the holiday season and it is definitely one of the brands I look forward to checking out this time of year. Although the last couple years their pigmentation in limited edition palettes has been below average some of them are still worth checking out. 

This year, like every year, I purchased their smoky eye holiday palette. I am always drawn to those types of colors and I know it is something I will use on a regular basis. This year's palette is a nice collection of 8 colors that include both matte and shimmer. It also includes their permanent shadow in Satin Taupe which is one of my all time favorite eyeshadows.

The pigmentation of this wasn't fantastic, I wanted a little bit more but when i applied it to my eyes with my brushes it applied much better than I thought and looked a lot better than it did when I swatched the colors below with my finger. So definitely keep that in mind. I would also suggest going to your local Mac store or counter to check these out in person.

Mac has just started releasing their holiday 2014 collection and some of the pieces look pretty awesome. I purchased two products so far, this Modern Majesty pigment is one of them and I'm so happy I got my hands on it. The one thing I will say that disappointed me is that the permanent pressed pigments are much larger and this is regular eyeshadow size for the same price. But, pressed pigments do last a long time so I still think it's worth it since it is limited edition. 

Anyway, the color is a beautiful kind of duo chrome burgundy plum but when watched it turns kind of reddish brown. I really love the tones this has and it's really elegant. This is also a really gorgeous color for fall.

This is the second and final piece I had interest in from Mac's Rocky Horror collection. This pigment is definitely a good time! I have a love and obsession with anything rosy, red, burgundy, etc. I think it's because I have blue eyes so I find that those types of shades bring them out the most. The color is a shimmering cranberry with cranberry glitter. It's perfect and this container will last me forever!

This color really called to me and I am so glad I purchased it. I plan on using this as eyeliner for the holidays. I can also see this looking really cool mixed into nail polish or to top off a lipstick!

After waiting very impatiently to order this palette from Mac's Rocky Horror Picture Show collection (wew, try saying that ten times fast!), it finally arrived! I absolutely love the smoky muted tones and can't get enough of that burgundy and steel blue! The colors are all pretty creamy except Carbon as usual is a little stiff. I understand why they always have this issue with that color in limited edition collections, oh well. Other than that this one is a gem. It could probably use one medium blending shade in the mix too but Oh, Rocky! is decent for that job. 

Overall if you are fan of film or just on the lookout for some moody colors I would definitely recommend this palette. It will make a perfect travel companion with its sleek magnetic case and variety of colors.

Out of all the pieces from the Brooke Shield's Mac collection the only one that really called to me was the bronzer in Scone. It looked like the perfect amount of warmth and I was right. 

Scone is a medium peachy beige with an almost reddish tint in the pan but when applied it brings out the brown you would expect from a bronzer. I don't think it would work as a bronzer on deeper complexions as it's subtle, though it is buildable so you might want to try this out in person if possible. The complexion that would find this most useful would be fair to medium light in my opinion. 

I love the healthy color it adds to my face. This will definitely be a favorite for the cooler months when my skin is on the even fairer side. Find this beauty here.
