There is something so satisfying when you finish up a beauty product. It's like checking something off a list. I find it interesting to see what others think of certain products after they have completely finished them so here are some of mine that I've recently (last 6 months) finished plus if I would repurchase or not! Have you finished anything recently and repurchased? I'd love to know!

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away there was an out of this world brand called Urban Decay...

Seriously though, Urban Decay knocks it out of the park over and over again with color and quality! They are definitely in my top ten brands. There hasn't been anything I've purchased that I haven't loved.
So we come to their new and permanent Afterglow 8 Hour Blushes... sigh. These are so gorgeous. I have purchased four shades, Bittersweet, Rapture, Kinky, and Video. All are super pigmented and finely milled. They blend effortlessly. Bittersweet and Video are matte shades while Rapture and Kinky are more of a satin finish. These really are multi purpose too because they would make great eyeshadows.

Bittersweet - A hot violet that is so trending right now. I was looking at this shade for a while but wasn't sure if I could pull it off. I was in Ulta and an Urban Decay rep was there so I had her test it on me. She actually used it as a contour and it looked awesome! I'm obsessed.

Rapture - I haven't played with this one much yet but I have a feeling it will be a Fall season favorite. It's a gorgeous plum with very very subtle shimmer. I can totally picture this with thick black lashes and a matte plum lip next season!

Kinky - Kinky is a golden peachy color. There is a soft golden sheen to this that really gets the skin glowing. It really is the perfect beach accessory this Summer. Throw this on with some mascara and lip balm and you are all set.

Video - This is the perfect matte neutral blush. It can work as contour or as an all over flush of color. It's almost like a bronzer color but with more a blush undertone. I would call this a rosy nude. I think if you are looking to try out the formula and not sure which shade to get this would be a safe bet.

#banthebead is a campaign that Lush has been advertising about recently. Many exfoliating products from the drugstore and so on have used these small beads in their products. One of my favorite drugstore exfoliators from Neutrogena uses them. I never once thought that using that scrub would be harming the Earth. Those little beads are actually made from plastic. What? I had no idea. While other cleansers wash down the drain never to be thought of again those plastic beads linger forever and can even end up in our bodies. Ouch.

This week I have two favorites! Colourpop's highlighter in Spoon and Clinique's Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer. I have just recently started using these this week and so far I am loving both.

Clinique's Turnaround line is new for Spring/Summer 2015. The line includes an oil, peel, daytime moisturizer, etc. I was really intrigued by their claims, "plumped, renewed, lit from within skin". Anything that will make my skin look glowy, illuminated, or lit from within I need. Sephora had a rewards set of everything so I spent 500 points and picked it up. So far I have only tried the overnight moisturizer and I have to say the first night I used it, I woke up the next morning to baby soft skin. I also feel like my skin is brighter. I can't say what the long term effects are but if you want something instant this is definitely something to check out!

As for Colourpop's highlighters, so much glowy goodness! I ordered two of them after seeing how gorgeous they looked in photos. For $8 you really can't go wrong. Spoon is so gorgeous! They describe the shade as "A light silver champagne with multi-dimensional silver flecks, that is sure to get you forked." Gotta love their descriptions! I would say the description is accurate. I can't wait to try more colors. 

This month has been another lazy/basic makeup month. I was really busy gardening and getting stuff done around our house that makeup wasn't a priority. :( There are a few products though that I have stuck with and still continued to love throughout this past month. My goals for June are to wear more makeup again and go for walks! What are yours?


Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore Protecting Hand & Cuticle Cream - It is perfect for daily moisture needs. I am constantly typing and going through paperwork during the day so this keeps my hands in tip top shape! Plus it helps to avoid paper cuts (tip: moisturized hands have less of a chance of getting cut on papers).

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm - This has been a favorite of mine since college. It's basic and gets the job done. My favorite part about this is the honey scent and the fact that there is no peppermint in it. Peppermint balms like the original just dry my lips out more I've found.

Keratin Complex Keratin Treatment - THE best thing I can do for my hair, especially this time of year. It lasts me all year and makes my hair super manageable, shiny, smooth, and best of all frizz free! It is an expensive treatment but to me, it's totally worth every single penny.

Maybelline Bronze BB Cream - I talked about this more in depth in my last Friday Favorite but this is a great complexion warmer for this time of year. It makes a great companion for quick makeup.

Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50 - The perfect light weight everyday facial sunscreen. This stuff is amazing. No breakouts, no oil, no scent, no white cast. Seriously, check this out!

L'Oreal Glow Renewal Oil - It's no secret I love facial oils. I find myself overwhelmed sometimes by all the bottles I own because I love them so much. This one is really nice. I've been using it at night after my Eve Lom cleanser. I warm up my face with the muslin cloth to open my pores and then press the oil into my skin for ultra absorption.

Organic Lavender Essential Oil - I've put one drop in my mascara tube and I do think it makes a difference in my lashes. I feel like there are more lashes to work with and the length has gotten better. Plus it doesn't bother my eyes!

Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara (Brown) - I was looking for a brown mascara to try out and decided to test out Covergirl's new mascara. I love the brush on this mascara! It's a little bigger than L'Oreal's Telescopic but has a skinny design which I tend to like for precision. If you are looking for a good drugstore mascara try this out.

got2b Powderful - I have been loving this for months now. It is great dupe for Sexy Hair's volumizing root powder. It helps lift from the roots and really gives all over volume for a fuller hair appearance. A must have! Plus it absorbs oil on your scalp to get a few extra days out of that blowdry!

Benefit Gimme Brow - A longtime favorite, I actually just picked up my second tube last night. I find this to be the perfect brush, perfect formula, perfect color, etc.

St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Face Oil - This is a great self tanning oil for your face. No streaks, no orange hue, and the scent reminds me of Fruit Loops. I'm about a quarter of the way through my bottle after two months of usage so I think this will last me through the Summer. It's not a deep color but I think it's a perfectly subtle tone that adds glow which can be used year round. It's not oily in the greasy way either. This is a dry oil so it sinks right in with no leftover residue!

Younique Splurge Cream Shadows - These are perfect for a quick swipe of color and shimmer! Really a perfect beach makeup product.

So, as you might have heard on social media Urban Decay is releasing another Naked palette this Summer! What a great way to start June with this exciting news. As far as I've read this palette will be available July 8th for purchase. I would assume probably on Urban Decay's website first followed by other retailers.

Smoky will be a fab addition to their ever expanding Naked Collection. When I look at this I think of Fall, Winter, and seductive nights in a jazz club. It's kind of looking like the original Naked palette in lingerie. Smoke is in the air people.
