Greige, the mix of gray and beige that equals the epitome of chic. Bobbi brown has taken it to the next level with her new Fall 2015 collection which stars the shade. The collection consists of everything from this palette to nail polish and the results are exquisite. 

The palette is the one thing that caught my eye besides the liner cakes but the price is ridiculous. I know Bobbi is on the high end makeup spectrum but still, $70 for only eight shadows?! I was lucky enough to receive an "I'm sorry" $50 code from Sephora after their Epic Rewards fail so I decided to order this. $20 felt a lot easier to stomach. I don't know why it felt crazy to me when I can spend $60 on a foundation but it just did for some reason.

So on to the palette...

I was really drawn to this palette because it's the first palette that revolves around the greige "movement" that I've seen. You may be able to include Urban Decay's Naked Basics 2 but besides that, this is a new thing. It's intriguing and something different for my collection. A fresh spin on nudes and neutrals.

The colors are perfect for daily wear. They can apply sheer but also be built up for a more dramatic look. My two favorite shades in this palette are Greige (third in on the bottom from the left) and Fog (bottom right, last shade). They are both matte textures and I just find the combo to be so pretty together. Smokey but nude at the same time. I like to use Fog as a liner and Greige all over my lid. Perfection.

Miss Kat Von D has been a favorite of mine in the beauty world for a long time now. I love her products. From her full coverage (and I mean FULL) foundation to her buttery eyeshadow palettes they are all top notch. I have yet to pick up here Shade + Light Contour palette but I picked up her Shade + Light Eye palette and I am so happy I did. It is so gorgeous!! 

This palette is completely matte and every single shade is super pigmented. It has everything you need to contour and manipulate your eyes in one perfect palette. There are  total of 12 shades, 3 being larger for base and blending. The collection of shadows is separated into 3 sections, neutral, cool, and warm. I love the way she organized this. It makes application for a beginner or when you are in a rush a snap. She even included an instruction pamphlet for reference. It shows examples for a natural and a smokey look for each undertone. 

The selection of colors here is perfect. You have a black, a white, yellow ivory, a warm brownish red, etc. You have every matte neutral you will ever need in one handy and nicely sized palette. 

The one thing you might miss is an included brush. Kat did release a special eye brush at the same time as this palette but they are sold separately and there is no space for the brush inside the palette. I don't really mind as I bring a bunch of brushes when traveling anyway but I know some people will find that to be a bummer. Here is the link to her eye brush if you are interested.

How many neutral palettes can you really have? I guess never enough because I keep accumulating more and more as they get released into the makeup world. I can't keep my hands off the gold, brown, black, mauve, rose, and grey shadows. I always feel like well they are colors I will use a lot so it's worth it. But there comes a time when you have to really think about a palette before you purchase it because well, you start to run out of room... 

My swatches don't due this palette justice. It's a nice mix of matte and shimmer and warm and cool tones. It is a great neutral palette that I loved from the moment I saw it. I don't regret the purchase and it stacks nicely in its golden case with my Stila Eyes Are The Window collection. 

Overall I don't think it's a necessity to own. But if you are a neutral fanatic like I am or you are looking for a nice gift for someone, you might want to check it out.

If you haven't heard of Melt Cosmetics before then you are totally missing out on a great brand! They are famous for their highly pigmented matte lipsticks. 13 lipstick shades are currently available and each one is gorgeous in their own way whether it be Space Cake (a grey with slight hints of blue) or Belladonna 2 (a classic bright red). 

On January 2nd they released two "quads" of eyeshadows, Dark Matter and Lovesick. I purchased both of course because I couldn't help myself. The first one I received is Dark Matter and it's the perfect smokey eye collection. All shades are a pure matte texture. They are probably double the size of a Mac eyeshadow too which is totally an added bonus! All four shades are equally pigmented to perfection. I love that you could create so many looks with just these four colors too. It's so useful and it makes going to from day to night a cinch!

The packaging is nice and compact. It is taking me a little to get used to because I keep getting scared of dropping them. They all stack magnetically one on top of the other but can also be taken apart as well. The group of four can be fanned out as shown below for ease of use. When finished, simply click them all back into place complete with mirror on top!

These sets are not cheap, setting you back about $55 after shipping. But when I think of the size of the shadows and how much use they have, it makes me feel a little less guilty. :)

I feel like the pictures pretty much speak for themselves, this is a perfect palette! There is literally every color included here plus both matte and shimmer textures. The size is portable and slim. It's not heavy and bulky. Every single shadow is richly pigmented and buttery smooth. Lorac has included 32 eyeshadows here that are pretty much all brand new. Meaning, this is different than the previous pro palettes, 1 & 2. I have all three palettes and I don't regret having them all whats so ever. I feel like all three could be perfect companions when traveling or when I need to bring a variety of shades with me but don't know what I will need ahead of time. Simply perfect, there are not other words! Lorac, you have outdone yourself!
