Younique Splurge Cream Eyeshadow - Dainty

Younique has released two of the three of their new cream eyeshadows. This is the first one I've tried and the texture was a little surprising to me. It is kind of bouncy! The consistency is super super creamy (duh it's a cream shadow) and the pigmentation is lovely. I would describe the shade Dainty as a rosy mauve, silver taupe. It is shimmery which I found to be stunning. This will work in the summer when all I want to do is throw on a wash of shadow, mascara, and go!

Covergirl Notice Me Nudes Eyeshadow Quad

Covergirl's Notice Me Nudes quad is the perfect everyday taupe group of shadows. The shades are buttery smooth and compliment each other beautifully. As you can see from the swatches below this quad is just as pigmented as their Stunning Smokeys quad. I had been searching for this one in every drugstore and website before finally hunting it down in Harmon's Discount. I was so excited and it does not disappoint one bit! These new quads are gorgeous with outstanding quality that you can grab at a great price. Have you tried any of Covergirl's new eyeshadow formulas?

Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow - Bella Taupe & Bella Mandarin

I've been hearing some really great things lately about Milani's new gel powder eyeshadow. So the last time I was in CVS I decided to pick two up to test. I mean a great drugstore eyeshadow? Who would pass that up? I chose Bella Taupe and Bella Mandarin.

Taupe is a medium taupe. I always find myself drawn to the color taupe for some reason. I just think it is a the color to have on hand. I actually also really like this shade for my eyebrows. The texture is really nice and it builds great to even out your brows without feeling like you put a ton of products on them. Looking for a new brow powder? Definitely check this out! It's a great neutral color.

Mandarin is a glowing orange. I really like this for a crease blending color and I think it will be really nice in the summer, maybe even as a blush!

So overall I do like these and I think I might pick up one or two more colors. They retails for about $4 and can be found at your local drugstore. I don't know if I really see the gel in the texture but they are softer then the usual drugstore shadow.

Becca's Ombre Nudes Palette - Thoughts & Swatches

Tarte Bambeautiful Eyeshadow Quad - Shades of Clay

If you are on the lookout for an affordable palette with super pigmented shadows, look no further than Tarte's Bambeautiful Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette. I purchased mine from Sephora for $18 but I think they are sold out again. You could definitely checkout ebay or amazon though.

I love every color in this palette. It's the perfect everyday neutral quad complete with a highlight shade, two blending colors, and a darker matte perfect for crease and for eyeliner. The quad is neutral but I get a feeling of a burgundy undertone throughout (minus the Ivory color). I think that is what really drew me to this, the cool plum like tones. It's perfect for blue and green eyed beauties!

Nars Smokey Eye Palette - Fall 2014

Nars really hit it out of the park with this fall addition. I love this trio of shades. From daytime to a nighttime smokey eye you can create a bunch of different but also neutral looks. The palette runs cool toned and includes an matte ivory, matte medium taupe, and a deep brown with gold sparkles. It also includes a brush and a black eyeliner. This will really be a great fall companion especially with its versatility in matte and shimmer textures.

Prestige - Hocus Pocus & Bewitched

Prestige is an affordable brand you can find at your local CVS or Harmon's Discount. They have great liquid eye liner. I usually get their products at Harmon's because I can use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons towards my purchase which always helps! They retail at about $6 each.

These Long Term Relationship Eyeshadows are newer to their line. I think they may have came out earlier this year maybe even late last year. I just purchased them over the weekend because they were on sale and I had been eyeing them for a while.

There are I think about 10 shades, some duo chrome and some glittery/shimmery. These shadows have a buttery smooth texture and fabulous pigmentation. I will definitely buy more if there are any other shades I like.

Bewitched - taupe rose gold duo chrome, similar to the duo chrome in the Nars Dogon palette

Hocus Pocus - dark green red duo chrome with shimmer, very similar to the shade in Wet n Wild's Comfort Zone palette and Mac's Club but much more pigmented and richer than Club!

They look pretty close to each other in my swatches but trust me they are different. Hocus Pocus is definitely darker.

Nars Eyeshadow Duos - Dogon & Portobello

I have purchased two Nars duos within the past month and they are making their way into my everyday makeup routine. Both are really nice tie ins to some of my palettes that are missing that one shade I wish it had. Well these two duos are really working out fantastically for that. They retail at $34.00 each and are part of the permanent line.

The first one is called Dogon. This shade was the reason I wanted this duo in the first place. It is such a gorgeous duo chrome shade! My love for shades like this all started with Mac's Club... sigh.

Nars Dogon

Shade 1 (left) - shimmering taupe duo chrome with mauve and some golden pigments
Shade 2 (right) - a black with fine green emerald sparkles

Portobello is a great neutral matte palette that has two warm shades. I've been wearing just the two shades with some eyeliner and it has been a great fast work look. I feel they really look natural but also add plenty of dimension to my eyes as well. This is sure to be a staple in my collection from now on.

Shade 1 (left) - matte tanned eggshell or ecru
Shade 2 (right) - matte mushroom with the slightest hint of mauve

What I am about to introduce is a fantastic fall palette from Kat Von D called Ladybird. It is stunning. The pigmentation is great (I swatched on my arm with no primer). If you are on the market for something other than nudes and a seriously rich color palette then I would most definitely check this out. It retails at $36 at Sephora.

Miss Kat hit it out of the park this time. I have three of her other palettes which all have great pigmentation and colors. I do think this is my favorite besides the Saint palette which is also a great neutral set and cheaper than Urban Decays Naked palettes.

The colors:

Fur Elise - medium dark matte plum

Vespertine - pale pinky nude

Renholder - medium dark matte grey taupe

Siouxsie-sioux - deep charcoal navy with slight pearl sheen (the only color with any sheen)

Unrequited - light matte peachy nude

Harlow - light medium matte taupey tan

Wolf - deep matte brick brown/burgundy

Cleopatra - matte rust

The palette also includes a liner in the shade Immortal Love which is a matte dark brown. The liner has a nice creamy texture.

These colors remind me of fall leaves, dark sunsets, and warm fires. I find that the whole palette being basically matte is also a plus since that was something my collection was lacking. It is a great addition. This palette and Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette compliment each other very well. This is also a great palette for my fellow blue eyed beauties out there! They make my blues pop!
